In anticipation of next Sunday

As I'm writing this, I'm thinking of mum, Winnie, Janet and Angela. What are you guys doing? Its Sunday 2:13 pm. They should be waiting for check-in for boarding or on the cruise already.

Tomorrow they will be in Krabi. The day after they will be in Phuket. If you can't tell yet, I wanna go tooo.

Actually I will be. Next Sunday to be exact. Hahah.

That's why I'm so keen to know exactly what they are doing now.

We are going on Star Cruise Libra from Penang - Phuket - Krabi. Then staying in Penang to eat all the char kueh tiaw, Penang laksa, Penang prawn mee, and so on and so forth. Can't wait. Its been so longgg. Or so it seems.

Unrelated news but Lee Chong Wei (LCW) is playing now versus some guy from Germany. Sorry I don't know the name. Indonesia Open. I have learned that I cannot talk to Cs while LCW is playing.

I'm not really looking forward to the cruise; just more looking forward to go on a holiday. I'm scared I would get sea sick. Either Cs or me. So I'm praying for good weather so I won't have to get dizzy.

The last two times I went on a cruise, I did get dizzy. Not all the time. But it comes and goes, and I can't even walk straight sometimes. But that was in winter. Super bad weather. From Newcastle to Amsterdam. The other cruise was from Newcastle to Stavanger, Norway in summer.

Both cruises operated by DFDS Seaways.

Winnie looks like she don't have make up on. It seems to be opposite with us always. Just that day we went to Planet again and she had looked fabulous with full make up on, whereas I came from work with specs, oily face etc.

When I saw her coming down the stairs, I think I went: waaa...fuck u!! (Cos she knew I looked like shit) And then I proceeded to try and dirty her face. HAHAH. Evil. This is what sisters do, no?

This is rare too. One night when I went straight from work too. Played pool with Naushad - Winnie's best friend. It was fun. The last time I played must have been years ago. Was it during college days?

I have not been taking much photos recently..blame my iPhone. Lousy. I have to depend on Winnie's phone when we go out together. Blame me too cos I always look like shit these days. Damn.

It is the last working day today. Happy me!! Jam like hell everywhere though. I guess everyone is on leave or last minute buying stuff, or people are all back from overseas.

I'm trying to decide whether to over night in Hakone or not. Anyone got tips for me? A bit fed up researching my Japan trip. I want to go to Yunessun and Owdukani for those black eggs. I want a full onsen experience, naked be it. I want a private onsen in the room. I found one for RM 600++ Not too bad considering, but its the bus taking going there that has got me worried.

The good ones with the modern facilities and awesome location can go up to 1k - 2k. Forget it. The cheap ones look dodgy or are too far out of the way or in the middle of nowhere. Kill me now. It is so so hard trying to find a place to stay.

These black eggs are said to increase your life by 7 years. Heh..they are normal chicken eggs that are cooked on site in the boiling hot water and it turns black due to a chemical reaction to the sulphurous water.

Researching for Japan has to be the worst! On one hand, I want to be totally prepared..I want to have my itinerary totally planned out, and on the other hand, I'm afraid I will be too stressed out worrying about this that I might not end up enjoying my trip.

OK..I don't think I'll be that stressed out. Only now. But knowing me, once I reach there, we would be like: fuck it. Cancel that out, and that, oh and that too. Let's just take the taxi once. How expensive could it be? And so on and so forth. Hahah..

Anyway..enough of that. I'll find a way. First I have to deal with my visa though.

I feel like I haven't talked about Cs much these days. That day I was looking for my phone. His phone's battery goes down very fast. So he told me: my phone is the easiest to look for. Just see where the charger is, my phone would be there. 

I burst out laughing. Stupid! Hahahha idiot..not funny. Its true. He has a charger upstairs and downstairs, and at his office, and he has a portable one to use in the car. It is always plugged in. A bit wtf. Time for a change. He's using HTC Sensation. Don't buy it.

My iPhone 4 - I only need to charge it once a day, for like one hour and it can last me a whole day. Pfft. Winnie and Cs don't understand why. Its easy. I don't play games much, or chat on whatsapp nonstop, nor do I keep taking photos of myself. Yeahh. :)

Does that mean mum's phone's battery can last a week? HAHAH. She doesn't use it!! She hardly does anything. 

Her iPad batteries definitely goes down wayyy faster. Mum uses her ipad ALL the time. In the kitchen while she's cooking; she puts it on the floor when she feeds Cherrie; she brings it to the saloon, she would bring it to facial if she can open her eyes, or she would bring it in the car to use if she can drive at the same time. That is how hooked my mum is. 

Is it wrong that I'm a bit jealous? Hahah. Of what I'm not sure. Hehe.

Cs is sick of A-mei but I'm not yet. I played it non-stop on repeat last night, and tonight. Poor baby.

Well I think it took guts for me to book a train ticket to Belgium and search for the hotel and where an ex was staying, as I didn't even know if he was there then. I didn't know how to take the bus so I walked everywhere with my map and asked people for instructions. People who don't speak English as their first language. Mostly it was French or Dutch everywhere.

Yes..but I wasn't very adventurous. I forced my stylist to cut my bangs on the morning of my wedding hahah.  Turned out not bad.

Scenario 1: I fell asleep on the sofa while my family were watching tv. After they turned off the tv, they woke me up and asked me to go up to bed. I walked to the tv and kept jabbing the on/off button eventhough the screen was black. I don't remember this. My parents told me this. They kept calling me, asking me to go but I didn't hear them. My eyes were glassy..open. Heh heh.

Scenario 2: We used to sleep in bunk beds last time. I was on the top bunk, my mum on the bottom bunk. My bro was sleeping on a mattress on the floor at the end of the bed. One night, in the middle of the night, my brother just suddenly woke up and opened his eyes. When he looked up, he saw me, leaning over the edge of my bed and staring down at my brother, eyes wide open. I didn't do anything. Just stared! Kevin freaked out! He kept asking me: what are you doing?? What are you doing??

I have no recollection of this too. It was kinda freaky. For Kevin lah hahaha he loves to tell people this story =.= I don't blame him hahahhah..

1. GREED: What is your most inexpensive beauty item?

Probably my lip balm.



I have mentioned this before, I am a lip balm freak. I CANNOT have dry, chapped lips. Major turn off. If I see people with chapped lips, I unconsciously keep licking my own lips and I feel like looking away, or else I keep staring. I can't help it. Sometimes I point it out to them. :X Sorry!
What is your most expensive?

Errmm..probably my Mary Kay products. The moisturizers, day and night cream.

I have all of these and a few others.

 But I also always try out different expensive creams/serums. One of the more pricey ones costs about RM 280 for a bottle of serum. Freaking pricey but I thought it was good. But I'm not using it now..too pricey to continue using it. Haih I can't help splurging on beauty items. Women's face, what to do?

I'm a sucker for the fancy marketing words, or if they are endorsed/recommended by people I like/follow. Such as the facial slimming gel Xiaxue recommended (but it friggin works!!), and the V shape face serum etc. I also buy a lot of facial masks and go for facials once a month. =.= Kill me now, only writing it out do I realize I spend quite a lot on this eh.

2. WRATH: What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with? What product has been the hardest to get?

Hmmm...love/hate relationship would be the products that are good but expensive! Or the products that are good but make my face oily. I have an oily face and some serums are good, makes my skin smoother (can feel the difference afterwards), but then its oily. Oh and sunscreen. I KNOW I have to use it everyday but it makes my skin oily. Haih.

Product that are hardest to get? The ones that are not available in Kuching lor. But its okay, small leetle Kuching is expanding these days. We finally have SASA in Kuching. I buy my NYX makeup stuff online, and erm what else? That's all I can think of now.

3. GLUTTONY: What are your most delicious beauty products?



I recently fell in love with Maybelline's lip balm. I'm using the third one. It smells amazing!! And quite moisturising too. Can't wait to try out the rest.

I also love shower creams. I'm using Dove now - smells amazing too. I always get to choose which ones I want. Hahah cs has no say in this! 

4. SLOTH: What beauty product do you neglect, due to laziness?

I sometimes neglect to put on sunscreen and eye gel. And sleeping masks. :( There was a period of time when I was so hardworking - I put on the sleeping masks almost every night and my skin thanked me for it. But now..boo..I should get back that habit!

I'm using the one from Face Shop. Its good. Costs about RM 90+ ?



5. PRIDE: What beauty product gives you the most self confidence?

The whole made up effect lah. One product cannot eh. I can't use just concealer, or foundation without eyeshadow, eyeliner etc. Can't use eyeliner without foundation too what. Cos my skin is not that awesome. So yea, everything!

6. LUST: What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?

Ooohh..toned arms, legs, cute smile, sense of humour, tall, dark, handsome, nice ass, nice abs...wait did you ask for one? I can't make up my mind.. :)

7. ENVY: What items would you most like to receive as a gift?

Hmm..perfumes (cos they are pricey and I can't bring myself to buy them). Actually they cost almost as much as my own creams and stuff but those stuff I use everyday. Perfume on the other hand seems to be like luxury items for me.

I'm using Jadore. Smells really good. I never get sick of this and Charlize Theron is hot hot hot!

It is one of those days

My eyes are glazing over. The screen seems to be shrinking the longer I look at it. Though I increased the font size, it seems just as small as ever.

You know those days when you go around scolding/cursing everything and everyone in your path?

It is one of those days today.

From those two laughing idiots on the escalators to that ahpek, whom I swear is creeping around me. Stare away. Retards! Everyone is a retard! Woe to those people who actually opened their mouth to talk to me today. Swear to God they leave within 10 seconds or less.

Winnie asked me does she look bitchy the other day. No, I said. But today, one look at me, bitchy is written all over me.

Unfortunately, I know exactly why this is the case. I feel like apologizing to all those people I talked to today. Or rather the people who talked to me, but to whom I bitched back at. Don’t think I actually answered back nicely. Example:

Him: Wow..nice dress. Polka dots. Like a Dalmatian.

Me: You’re saying I’m a dog la? Bitch issit?

Him: (backs away) No..no..

He literally ran off.

If I’m not so angry at the world, I might actually find it funny. Its like I have a disease, the way people back away from me today.

I have been watching a lot of "The Voice" on AXN. It is a singing show kinda like X Factor or America's Next Idol, something like that only this is just singing. Love the contestants, the performances, the songs and the judges. There are four judges: Adam Levine, Cee lo, Christina Aguilera, and another guy whose name I forgot. Sorry paiseh. His wife is Miranda Lambert the country singer.

Anyway. Watching this show led to two things:

1) I feel like singing too. When I told Winnie, she was like: who are you and what have you done to my sister??!!

2) Lusting on, err....I mean watching Adam Levine. Better known as the lead singer of Maroon 5.

I really want to write something down.

I am soo looking forward to my KL trip. Its just KL, but oh well. Its a holiday nonetheless. I have a few trips planned this year already. :X And its only March. Not to mention that we still haven't got round to getting that auto gate. Hahaha..that might never happen. Well not these few months at least..

Forget getting pregnant. No time! People, stop asking me. :D

We got a hand-me-down tv for our bedroom. No complaints there! Its one of the best things that could happen these days. Cs is elated. And so am I. Hahah. I thought that I would sleep later rather than earlier, with a tv in the bedroom.

But it turns out that, once we were both snuggled in bed, and the tv is blaring away, my body tells me that I'm tired. My eyelids droop, I can't keep my eyes open nor can I pay attention to what is on screen.

Unlike downstairs, I don't know why. I type away on the computer (like now), and procastinate. I wait and dawdle and find things to do just to avoid going to bed. Just because I want to prolong the day just a bit longer. Because waking up tomorrow morning, it will be yet another boring work day. 

I haven't been swimming in..forever. Or forever as in the last time Winnie came to visit. Which was, well forever. :)

I want to go to Phuket and laze about in that exact same spot. Fat chance. Next time I'm going to Phuket, I doubt we would stay in the same hotel (or same room type for that matter) again. I want to target Sri Panwa. Hahhaha fat chance! Google it. Agoda it! Sri Panwa villas! Swoonsss!! 

Only people like Xiaxue are so lucky get to be invited to places like that on a sponsored trip. Who doesn't envy that? Maybe that is why she got so many haters. Even on formspring, total retards keep asking pointless/irrelevant questions, if nothing, just to piss her off.

Damai Puri, which I am convincing him is the right place to go on his birthday! Hahaha!

I sound damn selfish I know. But he wants to go too! And my birthday is too far way to consider. I need an excuse to go to Damai, and since my birthday is so far away, well...the only logical conclusion is to convince him to go on his. :) Smart eh?

Conversations with the brother

My brother is one year older than me and I forgot when we started talking to each other like this. But it always makes me laugh like shit after. So I saved it down to share here.

 

I was anticipating the FUUUU when it came hahahhahaha.. Dumb shit! Referring to both me and him. 

Too many dates to remember

We forgot our anniversary again. Fook it. So many dates, how to remember ah? This anniversary I'm talking about is the day we got together: December 28. I remembered it a day too late. Cs, when I asked him about it, told me that he remembered it after I fell asleep. He debated on whether to wake me up or ignore it. Haha idiot.

Seriously though, now we have quite a few dates to remember. I'm not the kind of girl who can remember dates. There are:

1) day we got together

2) day he proposed (I keep forgetting the date =.=)

3) day we got married (marriage cert)

4) day of our wedding (easiest to remember since we worked hard planning for it, and informing and reminding everyone of the date so much that it is imprinted in my brain already)

5) days of our honeymoon (hahaha I know this isn't counted lah but really that week was one of my happiest week ever! so I want to remember it!)

So yah. Can you blame me for not remembering? And no, I don't blame him either. Its rubbish. In the future, I have to remember my kids birthday some more. And oh no, just realized something, does this mean I now have to remember my in-law's birthday in addition to my own family? Oh no.

Better get my calendar out to mark all these dates.

Anyway.

It takes practise. It takes skill. And most of all, it takes a thick face (or two).

So, its Friday today, and officially my last working day of the year. Bosses declared today as casual day and a half day working day. Woot. I get to go home at 12:30pm. Awesome ness.

Going to catch up on much needed sleep. Been feeling a little under the weather. Raining everyday. Actually no lah, that's horseshit. I'm not feeling well because of not enough rest and too much playing and too much red wine.  Heaty. But it has been raining everyday without fail, sometimes only stopping for about 5 to 10 mins and then raining again. Its terrible.

So what are your plans for New Year's Eve? This year as usual, I'll be at Sarawak Club with my family and my parents group of party loving friends. Heh.

So, its the end of 2011 and here are some highlights of my year so far, in no particular order:

1) Got married. Became a wife. Gotta get used to that term. I have a husband now. I can't refer to Cs as my bf anymore.

2) Got a new phone. I love my Iphone. Omg..where have I been all this time? When I just got the phone, I was astounded. So many things. So many apps. I can do so many things on it. Technology is amazing. And yah, I'm a bloody hypocrite.

3) Learnt to eat and cook more. Not just for me, but for Cs as well. In the process, I learnt how to cook and eat more healthily as well. If it was just myself, bah, I don't care. Eat maggi mee all the time. Or drink soup and call it a day. With Cs, I make more of an effort to eat something else, something more nutritious.

4) Moved out of the comfort of my parents house. Moving out means growing up and learning alot more responsibility. I have stayed away from my family when I was in London. Then, I was a student, and it was temporary. Some more, I was younger and I didn't care that much. Away from my home country where nobody knew me, I drank, I partied, I worked and I came back.

But now, its permanent. I work a full time job and we both go home to buy our own groceries, cook a meal, clean the house together, pay our own bills, and know when to shut the air con, use the fan, turn off all the electric sockets before going out on holidays, throwing out expired food, buying toilet paper. This is life now, but somehow these things seem more fun/bearable because I am with you.

5) Learnt that it was no mean feat trying to organising a wedding. Hahaha this deserves to be in the list. We worked hard for it, and it turned out to be wonderful. I shall remember forever that day and night. Okay maybe not, but at least I have photos and videos to document that day. (For future brides, do do do get a good photographer and videographer! They are the ones who will document your special day. Especially video. Must get it.)

6) Went to Damai twice, KL twice, Singapore, Phuket and Hong Kong. And I am so happy I got to travel!! I want more please. Haih there are really pros and cons of travel really. Pros: get to go out of the country, relax, shopping, eat, kick back. Cons: you get really tired after a while and just wanna go home and sleep on your own bed. And bills, bills, bills. That's why I haven't got round to buying another closet or shoe cabinet for myself. Hehh..

7) I'm sure there are more but I'm getting lazy. So this list shall end here.
