How I eat my coleslaw

Before..this was before. Now, I try to the coleslaw without ketchup.

Looks gross, I know. Especially after you mix it up. But it tastes good!!

The first time I did this to my KFC coleslaw,

Cs thought I was playing with my food...until I put it into my mouth.

If I remember correctly, his mouth dropped open a little..

Until I asked him to try it too.

Hahaha now he's used to it, but I am trying to eat it without the ketchup now.

Just felt like sharing that today.

No idea why.

Btw, Happy Merdeka! Holiday today. To non-Malaysians, it is our Independence Day today. And also next month on Sept 16. Yea, we get two days.

Lazy to explain. Google it folks.

Bye.

Route 66 at RCA, Bangkok

So one fine Saturday night, we went clubbing! We chose Route 66 at RCA. If you're a tourist, like us, either pressure your tour guide to go with you (like we did hahha let me explain later), or hop into the taxi and tell them RCA ka

Serious. That's what our tour guide did. She just said two words: RCA ka. The driver nodded and sped off. From Shukumvit (is that the correct spelling again?) it probably took only 5 mins? Very near by.

Apparently, its a popular hangout. There are a few clubs at RCA and Route 66 is one of the bigger ones. Says Google.

We arrived at about 9++ pm. Still early and not crowded yet. Good for us cos we could get a table easily. I forgot the entrance price. If I remember correctly, our tour guide didn't pay. Just us tourists. No fair.

Anyway. We didn't pressure our tour guide lah. We, and I mean me, just whined and whined and cajoled and whined some more, and she relented!! Hahaha she brought her friend along too.

That's our tour guide on the left and her friend with mum. Thanks Sandy!! :)) She is awesome btw. Brought us there by taxi, and made sure we got a taxi to go back to the hotel at night. So awesome. Actually I didn't whine much too, she was quite happy to come along with us heh heh.

She just said that she has not been to RCA in years, and they would be the oldest there. I beg to differ. Mum is the oldest! Haha evil again. Ahem. Moving on. We just wanted to go experience what clubbing would be like in Bangkok.

The only difference was Thai songs. They also play English songs. No worries. The DJ speaks Thai. The waiters speak Thai. The menu is in Thai (no wait, sorry this was English obviously cos I ordered the alcohol). They also have a food menu too. I ordered some light snacks- see photo below.

But don't let me scare you. Even without our tour guide and her friend, we would have got along fine. Not that difficult. They happily explain in English to you what promo they have going on.

By they, I mean this girl below. She convinced us to order a whole bottle of vodka, mix with some apple cocktail. It was delish!!

Ehh Bangkok a lot of hot chicks lah. They are tall, slim, and fashionable. Makes us look bad. Our guide says that its because the ratio of women is much more of the men, so the women are pressured to look good. The men are already less, but then there also a lot of men turning into women. Da fuck! She has a point.

This was what we ordered. It was huge! It is not the normal bucket where they put in the beers, it is much bigger!! It took all 6 of us the whole night to finish it, and yet when we left at about 1am, there was still a little left.

There were apple slices inside. I'm curious though - why is it glow in the dark?

If I am not mistaken, there were 3 dance floors inside RCA. We were at the one in front, with the live band. Man, I wish we walked around first before settling down. The room at the back seems far more entertaining. Good DJ and much more appropriate dancing music.

They have a section for you to check in on Facebook. That I did. :)

I have heard that their toilets are huge, so we went to check it out. It does not disappoint!! There are 3 main rooms for the toilet, chandeliers, sofas, tvs, and a lot of mirrors for girls to camwhore.

Ze toilet.

Still in the toilet..

Yep, still in the toilet..

This was the section I was talking about..the one where we should have gone. More dancing opportunities. Good music.

We left at about 1am. Walk out to the main roads and get accosted by plenty of taxi drivers on the way. Stop and ask the price. If too pricey, keep asking till you find one. Depends on how desperate you are eh.

Sandy was the one who found the taxi for us. Thanks again!

All in all, it was a good night out, but we went home too early. I would go back if its with a bunch of friends. Good fun.

Night.

No, but I changed the lyrics to certain songs though. Actually Cs and I do that all the time.

· Have you ever been in the opposite sex's public toilet?
Yes.

· Are you superstitious?
To an extent.

· What's the most daring thing you've done?
Well I think it took guts for me to book a train ticket to Belgium and search for the hotel and where an ex was staying, as I didn't even know if he was there then. I didn't know how to take the bus so I walked everywhere with my map and asked people for instructions. People who don't speak English as their first language. Mostly it was French or Dutch everywhere.

· Did you have a baby blanket? Do you still sleep with it?
Nope.

· Have you ever tried to cut your own hair? If yes, how’d it work out?
Yes..but I wasn't very adventurous. I forced my stylist to cut my bangs on the morning of my wedding hahah.  Turned out not bad.

· Have you ever sleepwalked?
Yesss..my family have fond memories of my sleep walking stories. Lemme share two stories.

Scenario 1: I fell asleep on the sofa while my family were watching tv. After they turned off the tv, they woke me up and asked me to go up to bed. I walked to the tv and kept jabbing the on/off button eventhough the screen was black. I don't remember this. My parents told me this. They kept calling me, asking me to go but I didn't hear them. My eyes were glassy..open. Heh heh.

Scenario 2: We used to sleep in bunk beds last time. I was on the top bunk, my mum on the bottom bunk. My bro was sleeping on a mattress on the floor at the end of the bed. One night, in the middle of the night, my brother just suddenly woke up and opened his eyes. When he looked up, he saw me, leaning over the edge of my bed and staring down at my brother, eyes wide open. I didn't do anything. Just stared! Kevin freaked out! He kept asking me: what are you doing?? What are you doing??

I have no recollection of this too. It was kinda freaky. For Kevin lah hahaha he loves to tell people this story =.= I don't blame him hahahhah..

· If you could be any age, what age would you be?
25 maybe when I still look young (er).

· What is your dream car?
Some convertible. Sorry don't know cars. Wait lemme ask Cs. He said Audi R8.

Hmmm Aladdin or Little Mermaid.

· If you were in a car sinking in a lake, what would you do first?
Climb out of the car.

· Have you ever ridden in an ambulance?
No! Choi!

· How many foreign countries have you visited?
Not much at all. Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, HK, Macau, U.K., Paris, Amsterdam, Belgium, Norway and I think that's it.

· If you fell into quicksand, would you try to swim or try to float?
Whichever works.

· Do you talk in your sleep?
I'm not sure. I know ama does though. She shouts in her sleep hahaha. The other day, I woke up in the middle of the night and Cs was mumbling something too. I had to wake him up cos he got quite agitated. He just opened his eyes to look at me, flipped over and started snoring immediately. Zzz..took me considerably longer to go back to sleep.

· Have you ever slipped in the bathtub?
Yes.

· If you could invite any movie star to your home for dinner, who would it be?
Some hot guy so I can stare shamelessly.

Forever 21, Topshop, H&M.

· What do you think is your best feature?
My smile probably. Without showing my teeth hahahha..I want invisalign.

Night all.

Safari World, Bangkok

Sunday was Safari World day! Actually it was divided into two sections: Safari World, where you sit in your car/van/bus and watch the animals roaming freely outside; and Marine Park, which is like a zoo that also comes with a lot of shows, such as orang utan show, sea lion show, elephant show etc.

Ticket price was about RM 90/THB 900. Including buffet lunch. If I am not mistaken. It was included together with our tour so I don't remember correctly already. Google it folks.

We went to Safari World first in our tour van from day 1. It was quite a nice experience. No need to walk around in the sun. Just sit inside in the air conditioning and can still take plenty of close up shots.

The animals were quite tame. Mostly eating, sitting, standing, sleeping or hiding from the sun. I shit you not. Most of the animals were in the shade!

Ok, not this fella. Btw, did anyone read Xiaxue's post on the zoo she went to? She managed to snap a photo of the zebra's cock. Is it black or is it white? Is it striped or is it not? Haha it is black!! Read about it here.

Are those zebra stripes brown and white? Are mine eyes deceiving me? You know how people say that if you stay out in the sun too long, your black hair turns brown. Dark brown still lah but still brown. Don't know if its bull or not. But look! The zebra's stripes turned brown!

Hahah unrelated and yes I am ignorant. Yes, I know there might be brown striped zebras or that there is a perfectly logical/scientific explanation. So, feel free to screw me for my ignorance. Shitty comments are better than no comments. No, I take it back. No comments are better than shitty comments.

Look at how green that pond is!! Don't they clean it often enough? What's that? Algae or moss? Either one lazy to Google.

Rhinos are dirty and smelly but they are good photo objects. They just stand there eating while I take photo after photo.

You need a shower yo!

That was how close we are to the rhino. Pretty cool actually. You could just park there and wait watching for as long as you like actually.

Obviously. Wouldn't want to fight to cross the road with the rhino now, would ya?

They separate the lions and tigers from the deer's, rhinos, birds. For obvious reasons.

Wish they didn't though cos it would be more fun to watch the tigers and lions catch their own food. Fun eh? Then we would have a better show to watch. Also the tigers and lions wouldn't grow lazy and depend on the zoo keepers for food right? Right?

This bear reminded me of Kevin. For some reason.

Just like how this woman reminded me of Winnie. For some reason. I'm sure Winnie thought so to, cos she insisted on a photo with her. Same pose some more.

This was at the Marine Park already. Time to go watch the shows.

Why is mummy so pretty? Prettier than me! $%^&#*

Orang utan show was not bad. I liked the sea lion show the most. The orang utans were very well trained!! They could really understand their coaches. The shows were in Thai btw. Don't have to understand exactly what they were saying. You kinda get the gist still.

Soo many people at the sea lion show. People were walking around selling drinks, fans, ice creams and even beer!! I was kwai though - only had ice cream and water. /proud.

They even trained the walrus to clap their fins during feeding time! So kwai!

Elephant show was the only show where I felt like the animals were not very well treated. I don't know..just got the feeling that they were poor animals being forced to do those tricks.

The elephants "drew" those pictures. The trainer for the elephant on the left kept guiding the elephant's trunk to pat correctly. The elephant on the right was better though - needed almost no guidance at all.

Those paintings cost 500 baht each. RM 50.

We left halfway though out the show though.

Pure white fishes grew very large actually. Actually a lot of the fishes we saw at the zoo were all quite big. Doesn't show in the photo though.

Obligatory shot of my hippopotamus husband.

So attractive.

After that we went for the buffet lunch that was included in the ticket price. It was SO NOT WORTH IT!!!

But it was included in the ticket price so I shall tone down my complaints.

First up, there were a lot of people in that HUGE dining hall. Everyone was hungry and most of the plates were EMPTY. Those not empty were messy, spilled here and there, and most of all, YUCK.

But then again, its FREE. Sort of.

Sorry for the caps but I had to err..explain.

Don't know if I posted this photo already or not..but I just wanted to end this post with love, and not angst.

OK bye.

Updates x100

So, I don't feel like talking about Bangkok today. I keep wanting to update my blog but always too tired in the end.

Raya break is over and done with. I spent most of the raya holidays at my parent's house, eating, chilling, drinking. Talking about Taiwan, eating Jello (Winnie has been on a jello making spree - she nailed it. Got the perfect blend of vodka and water already), drinking, and eating some more.

Which is why I have been working out these few days again. Came back from work, cooked dinner, made tomorrow's lunch, changed and went on the treadmill. After an hour, while waiting for my sweat to dry, I put on some music and decided to dance some more.

Finally showered and came to sit in front of my laptop - trying to collect my thoughts now. Too soon, it is 9:36 pm. Bedtime soon. Where has the time gone??

******

Anyway. Some photos from recent events. Err..not so recent actually. A bit outdated. This was at Rainforest Music Festival, back in July. Before Bangkok.

Cherrie! Just because she's so clean, fluffy, cute and everyone should awww at this photo! :D

We went for steamboat at my parents place. Daddy's fav way of eating. Not mine.. Got salmon sashimi though, so I am somewhat placated. Heh.

DIY-ed my own hair. Worked out ok! Much better than Liese bubble hair dye! Good choice- in case anyone else is interested. Somehow, I feel like my hair is softer. And colour is good. Photos you ask? Wait I haven't taken any photos yet. Maybe this weekend!

I like white wine. Much more than red. Especially when its sweet. And very affordable. RM 52.50 at Ta Kiong. Didn't buy it. Then, Cs found this bottle at home! Yay so I opened it without further ado. :)

Look at that face! Wanna squeeze the hell out of her!

Look at her eyes. Its knowing. Like Tyra always says: speak with your eyes. Something like that haha America's Next Top Model? Anyone else watch it?

Got this shirt from Chatuchak market. Hahah Johnnie Walked! Geddit geddit?

For the non drinkers, heard of Johnnie Walker? Black label, blue label, green label?

This is an um..unflattering photo of Winnie's best jello yet. Its blueberry and she put in seedless grapes in it. Nice!!

Cs' new obsession is rubbing off on me. Well, not exactly new obsession. Just that I recently joined him in playing this basketball at the arcade. Heh just only realized how fun it is to try to beat the high score!

His record playing alone was about 375. Our record playing together was about 350. I know, I know. I dragged him down! Fook it.

And why do people insist on spelling his name with an A? Does no one else go to school (so mean)? Or read Bookworm (in primary school last time). Its EDISON. Adison is a girl's name. :(

One last artsy fartsy photo before I go. Carlsberg limited edition is good stuff. Soo smooth. Yum.

OK. Short update done. Sorry for the lack of narration but I really gotta go stare at something else other than a computer screen.

My eyes will thank me.

Bye.
