Pandora box

As I was searching for some of my old documents to send to my friend earlier tonight, I came across some of my old files. Documents. Things I wrote down years ago. Have I really changed that much? I was so childish, so immature, so naive. I don't know if I am better or worse now, but reading back on those entries written by ME, it felt weird. A bit shocking actually. Why did I say that? One thing has not changed though. I have to learn to control my temper. No giving anyone the finger in public. No F..U..'s in public. No being rude. I feel quite ashamed of myself. Life was easier back then. Happier? I don't know. But definitely more carefree, or maybe my naivety made it seem easier and more carefree. I actually don't have any excuses for myself now. Life goes on and I am a different person now. Or at least, I like to think so. :)

Family gathering

Last Saturday night, my cousin got married. Well actually it was just a small intimate dinner with all the relatives. Kinda like just to inform. The actual wedding was in Sabah? (I think) Sorry kill me if I'm wrong okie? I am very uninformed. :)

Congratulations cousin!

We arrived at Banquet restaurant by or before 7pm, and waited for the guests to arrive. They took so so so long. Grr. Don't you absolutely hate late arrivals. It is SO RUDE. Sorry lah but I'm stating a fact ok. Who likes to sit there waiting? Would you?

Its his wedding dinner, there are elders there (ah ma, parents waiting) for food to be served but we waited more than an hour before they arrived and we could all (FINALLY) eat.

By then people were complaining of gastric pains. By people, I mean mum and cs.

And to make matters worse, Banquet took so long for the food to arrive between intervals. This has happened before. Wait I go search for the post. Found it here *click to read*. That was from Ama's birthday last year.

Cs said that Banquet's strategy was: serve the food to the guests v-e-r-y slowly.. Wait at least 15-30 mins for the food arrive so that everyone is starving and would think the food taste good. Wtf but so true man! Fuck this sucks.

So I played around with my camera in between and checking the time again and again..

New accessories that look nice on the website, and here but not so nice on my hands. Hmm why?

Since the food took so so long to arrive, we had beer to fill up our stomach. Yea no shit. Think this could be another of Banquet's strategy? Let customers wait till they starve so they drink more water or in our case, beer!

MCB! Damn upset that night. Fucking starving and had to drink beer on an empty stomach. This is not just me talking ok. Everyone was complaining. I so don't want to go back! Grr. Upset!

But it was supposed to be a happy occasion. So. Oh well. I hope we choose another different location for dinner next time.

Wednesday ladies night..

Sorry I have been neglecting my blog again. Been going out almost every night the past few days and have no time to update my blog. When I want to update something, the line is so so so bad! Maybe its time to get myself a new toy - iPhone or iPad. Haih wishful thinking.

*****

So, this was from Wednesday ladies night. Bar hopping from Zebra (the old Core) at Travillion, to Check in, Bar Zing, Soho, Mojo, and Havana then to lok lok for supper. I am amazed at how I could still manage to go to work the next day. -____-

Oh well. It doesn't happen often. Kitty is back for two weeks, so I joined them for ladies night around town. So nice. Nowhere is full. Plenty of free drinks, we only paid for supper at lok lok. Being a girl so rocks - no need to pay for free drinks. No entrance fees! Awesome

The best free vodka can be found at Bar Zing!

We went to Zebra first and had Whiskey coke. Bah it sucks. Lousy whiskey that tasted very suspiciously like brandy. So we requested for more coke to add in (free!) and then it tasted like coke only so we finished all of it. It didn't come in glasses like this. Instead, because there were about 5 of us, they gave us a whole jug of whiskey coke mixed already.

Then when another couple came to join us, they gave us ANOTHER jug of whiskey coke. Very generous. Too bad it tasted really bad. Kitty had vodka lime, and it was good. We should have all ordered vodka lime first. Argh.

\

After that, we went to Check in to check out the crowd, and wheedle more free drinks because we can. Hehe.

Its bad to have lots of free drinks in one bar only right. By bar hopping, its not so obvious that we drink a lot. Haha!

From left, Kitty, Winnie, Cherling, Steph and me!

I miss ladies night. Friday nights at VA don't count cos they are routine already.

What I mean is, it is SO nice to have some girls talk only. To just hang out, chill and drink without the guys ala Sex and the city. We are all taken, but its nice to be without him once in a while. Estrogen rush! Fun!

I laughed so much the whole night in a way only being with girls and vodka can give you. Plus the pubs were all almost empty. No crowds, no guys oogling, and nobody pushing us around. Love! More please!

If only it wasn't a work day on Thursday! =.=

Bar Zing.

In the beginning, it was just Winnie and I dancing. It felt quite automatic already. When the alcohol kicks in, you move, and do what you want. Rock on!

Winnie to Steph: can you tell we are related (while indicating me and her dancing oblivious to the others). Haha..yea man. A bit weird.

Sisters.

After that we went to Soho and Ipanema. Cherling met some friends there so we stayed for a while. We went to Soho trying to find a spot to dance when we realized that they were cleaning up. And they told us that they are closing in 5 minutes. T____T so sad.

By then, I didn't even realize how late it was. It was five minutes to midnight. For future reference, Soho closes at midnight on Wed. :)

So we made our way to Cure (the old Mojo). As we were nearing the Curve, someone (I think it was Steph) said: ssshhhh....listen listen.

All of us went quiet. What what?

Someone: Can you hear anything? There is no music! T__T

HAHA fucking hilarious. Its true. There was no music. So we went to ask anyway what time do they close? 2am but it was so quiet and so dead that we toddled back to Ipanema.

Then went to Havana and then to Lok Lok. Reached home at about 2am that morning. How I managed to work the next day, I don't know. But it was so worth it! :) A night out, that is what I needed!

Before this photo was taken, no one was this proper ok. Everyone was talking loudly, laughing and joking around etc.. but I was the only one dumb enough to still fool around when Winnie pointed the camera at us. Wahhh *bawls endlessly. Now I look drunk and after reading this post I don't blame people for thinking this way of me.

Die lah why do I sound so bimbotic even to myself? *wipes tear and deep breath. (And so Malaysian. Who says die lah? Just Malaysians and some Singaporean maybe. But more kuching ah lian. Die lah! Die chim chim. Haha fuck this shit)

Battle of the shoes! ♥

Okay that's it for now. Gotta go. Bye. Night!

Amy's guide to exercising..

Actually I am just talking about a lot of rubbish because I am bored. Just finished exercising and nothing to do now. The bf is out playing badminton without me.

So most people would know that I walk/run on the treadmill quite often. This folded up one to be exact.

It is my most reliable form of exercise. I don't need to be out in the sun, and I can watch movies/drama series on my laptop. I am in the comfort of my own home, no self consciousness at the gym where people are watching. I went to the gym before, and it was terrible. They show lousy shows on the tv (the horror) and it is fuzzy. Heh heh. Kidding. Not about the lousy tv though that part is true.

Also, it was so competitive. I am not competitive in the gym okay. I am slow and self conscious. I want to walk at my own pace, I want to rest when I want to, I want to braid my hair when I walk, and I occasionally run when I feel like it.

How long do I run? As long as I can before I double up in pain because of a stitch at my side, or before my knees hurt (I suspect that I am wearing cheap lousy shoes - should go get new ones).

Yes, I did this while walking on the treadmill because I am bored. And it keeps my hands busy. Bored because well, to tell the truth, walking on the treadmill IS BORING.

I know I have my Grey's Anatomy but I know what happens every episode! IT IS BORING.

Watch new movies? It has to have correct, exact subtitles, and it should be movies that I feel like watching while exercising. I watch them on my laptop so it has to be LOUD and CLEAR, to be heard OVER the sound of the treadmill running and my feet stomping.

I need a companion to exercise with me. I need a new form of exercise.

Let me tell you my routine most week nights. I exercise mostly on week nights cos weekends I am out day and night. Mostly. Yea fine always.

Arrive home from work at 530pm, have dinner, change into workout clothes, and brush teeth, wash face, tie up hair. Go into the gym (actually its a fancy name for a small room at the back of the house hehe), and move my laptop with me.

Depending on my mood, how tired I am (how much sleep I had the night before and how mentally exhausting work was that day) and what I am going to do later in the night, I will work out for about 40 to 60 mins. Actually I don't note the time that much, I note how much calories I have lost on the machine.

Then continue watching movies while I use the hoola/hula hoop while I let my sweat dry off. I am getting pretty good at this and can go on for...forever without the hoop falling off. Heh heh. No lah. Of course not. If I were, I would be the new her:

Wow this is so damn lihai. Think she is the world record holder for hula hoops or something. Not sure and lazy to check. :)

Hula hoops is something I have been doing ever since college days, and I believe that it does give you a flatter and leaner tummy. Do it ladies. :) Shake those hips.

I don't use the thin hoops. I am using the thick one. Something of this size but without all those little balls by the side. This one below was a photo stolen off Google and looks like it would hurt. Ouch!

To each his own, it might not work for everyone. But after using it for about 15 mins, my hips are all red and warm, the feeling you get when you get a good workout, and you can feel your blood pumping. Ahh you know what I mean right.

But be warned though. It hurts if you are not used to it. This is the same to all forms of exercise right? If you can't take the heat, then don't overdo it. Start slow. Chehhh why do I sound so ke si now? Not like I exercise a lot. Haha

My only other form of exercise is swimming. It also enables me to stay out of the sun. Yay. In case you didn't know, the freak in me only goes swimming after sunset.

Cs is in love with a freak. Haha.

He is having a beef egg cheese roadside burger in the photo below. It was supposed to be relaxing/chilling/ahhh..this is the lifeee...photo but my photography skills need so much work.

Instead, I made it look like cs is so damn emo/sad. Sial. Why?! But the model (for lack of a better word) is supposed to act better too right.

Speaking of this, I am damn nervous lah. Photo shoot coming up, how am I supposed to act sweet/loving?

I can do that in private no prob haha, but with an audience. Gasp! How how? I don't really expect anyone to reply me so I shall stop talking/typing to myself. :(

Will someone please comment on my blog? Not nasty comments that tell me I'm a bitch/slut/bimbotic/vain/dumb/insert negative adjectives. But positive ones please? :)

And this is a vain photo of self just because I am vain like that hehehe. If people comment that I am vain, then I deserve it.. :(

Bye.
