My Pizza Guide

I was very impressed with Pizza Hut's Fish King pizza. Reading back that entry now, I realize I should not have combined the top and bottom half of the post together. A bit spoil appetite, if you think about it.

Anyway, back to topic.

The previous Fish King pizza consisted of 8 pieces of Alaskan pollock. This new Fish Prawn King pizza now contains (says the poster) fish and prawns!

It says we get 4 pieces of fish, and 4 prawns. Yeah right. Misleading poster. There were 8 pieces of prawn instead.

But I'm not complaining. 8 pieces of prawn is better than 7 pieces of prawn or 6 pieces of prawn haha or no prawn. Quite large prawns some more. So no complaints. Nice.

Cs and I went to the Jalan Song Pizza Hut one fine day after work. More like bad day after work actually judging from our expressions.

So, cs brought me to pizza hut to cheer me up. Quite obvious that its after work cos we both look like shit. No smiles, no expression. Hungry and less chatty while waiting for the food to come.

The place was quite empty that day but our food arrived after 18 minutes. There were a lot of deliveries. So nice.

I have never actually called Boulevard Pizza Hut to deliver a pizza to my house. Its a 5 minute walk. I wonder how would they react if I order up and tell them my address. Would they go WTF? Lazy bitch come and pick up your own damn pizza! Particularly on a rainy day. Heh. I should try this some time soon.

I wonder how do they estimate the time for you pizza to arrive. On different occasions, they told me that my meal will come in 15, 16, 17, 18 minutes. Any Pizza hut employee care to enlighten me?

Pizza is the only food I cant say no to. Sigh. Why cant I choose a less fattening food to fall in love with? Why pizza? Why not err plain water, or green tea, or err what food isn't fattening ar? Rice and noodles are carbohydrate. Sweets and chocolate are sugary stuff. I should have fallen in love with a type of fruit and/or vegetable. Dammit.

So here you go. My love, my life.

Its my life..
(singing)
Pizza's my life...
(singing)
Its my life..
(Bon Jovi)

Geddit?

Ehh laugh la. Not funny meh? OK OK. I know that was lame.

Anyway.

Did you know you can get 30.0% (Haha CA) off your bill if you order ala carte (dine in or take away), for selected pizza's? Normally the offer applies to the newest/promo pizza they have.

For the new pizzas, they often come with a meal, right?! Don't get the meal! With the combo meal, you don't get the 30% discount!

Only alacarte pizza!

Since both cs and I don't like the garlic-bread breadstix (yuck- gimme back the parmesan breadstix anyday. Why did they change the parmesan breadstix to this shit anyway? Cost savings strategy issit?), and we normally don't finish our soup, and our pepsi is normally not enough for the both of us,

Alacarte is the way to go! Order your choice of pizza and add on a pitcher of pepsi and four deli wings, salad etc..Total bill comes up to 30% off if you pay with Maybankard.

My Water Moments

I like writing and blogging, even though I am not very good at expressing myself with words. I always cheat by posting photos! You know the phrase: A photo is worth a thousand words! Haha.

Unfortunately for me, my photos always turn out horrible. Too blur. Not enough light. I get it so often from friends who read my blog: You need a new camera Amy! I know, I know.

So, of course I had to give this a try when I saw this in the Nuffnang home page. Sony TX5 - 10.2 Mega Pixel T Series 4x Optical Zoom Cyber-shot.

Its the WORLD'S SLIMMEST WATERPROOF CAMERA! Says Sony anyway. Just 17.7 mm thick.

Nuffnang is giving out three of this. One each to whoever write the best 3 blog entries about your water moments. So generous!

*Sigh.* Isn't it gorgeous? This little baby packs in 10.2 megapixels, and is *shock* WATER, shock, dust, and TEMPERATURE proof! Awesome! *double shocker* It retails at approximately RM 1,499 only! Not that I can afford it anyway. More on this later.

I take photos with my own phone: Sony Ericsson T707. It comes with no flash. Which means, in the day time or at places with enough light, my photos come out fine like this:

But at night, in the club, by the pool, or beach, I get photos like these:

*Oh hai. Can you see me?*

Tell me I don't need a new camera! -_-

With photos like these, that is why I have to resort to err..stealing off other people's (friends) photos off Facebook! Or wait for others pen drive to transfer photos to my own phone, or desperately ask people to please turn on their Bluetooth. Cos I need the photos nao! Now. I realize I am err quite annoying to the people around me. Ahem.

I normally blog with photos taken off cs' 5 mega pixel phone. Lifesaver. Thank you very much btw. :DD

This photo below was taken at cs' and my future home.. At the clubhouse. I frequent the swimming pool quite often. Its a 2 minute walk from his place. Its heaven to go swimming at night.

But.

The dark, no lights, plus a camera phone = lousy photos. Bad idea.

I wish I could have taken better photos. The one above is one of my best efforts already. Notice the white spot on my dress though. Some smudge/dirt on the camera lens! Why? At least this won't be a problem with the TX-5. Cos among other features, it is DUST PROOF! No smudges/dirty lens!

Back to Sony TX 5. The water-, dust-, shock-, and temperature-proof camera. Hello?! Are you kidding me? With these features, I can literally bring this little baby anywhere.

Water-proof
Dive in with the water-proof Cyber-shot TX5. Capture beautiful underwater shots up to 3m deep for up to 60 minutes.

This was the best I could do with a 5MP non-water proof camera. Above water. Blah. Everyone has photos like these. Nothing special at all. Boo..Just find a nice spot/view and ask someone to snap some nice photos. But they are all above water! Pfft. Boring!

I tried to half submerge myself in water. My closest attempt at an underwater shot ok. Fail. Sorry man but this was the closest to the water I could get with a camera phone. Sad. T_T

It would be pretty freaking cool to take underwater shots such as these taken with the Cyber Shot TX5. How nice!

Three feet under wtf. Not related? Three meters under does not have such a nice catch to it what.

Now this is awesome. Not something everybody has, right?! I want! Much better option than to have to buy a waterproof camera case. The case itself is quite pricey, right? Not worth it. Better to get this camera.

I'm going to Kota Kinabalu in July with a bunch of friends. I am so going to need this camera. Parasailing. Snorkeling. Swimming. Diving.

However, water sports + camwhoring = not a good idea.

To the kind people at the Nuffnang office: please help. Haha.

Temperature-proof
Keep on shooting even below freezing point up to –10ÂșC with this tough camera in harsh weather conditions.

Oh yes, tell me about it. In my first year in London, naive little me brought my little camera there. It served me quite well through summer and autumn. Come winter, and I wonder why am I getting shots like this?!!!

Nooo..London eye is not supposed to look like this. The camera itself was not spoilt. But most of my photos come out blur like this. Temperature was averaging 0 to minus 4 at most. The Cybershot TX 5 enables you to shoot up to minus 10.

Beautiful scenery but blur photos spoilt most of my photos. Imagine being overseas and not being able to take awesome photos to show-off capture memories?

Argh! With the TX-5, at least I can be assured of clear and sharp images all through winter. No need to worry about a spoilt camera and lousy shots.

Dust-proof
With the superb dust-resistance of the Cyber-shot TX5, you can be assured to always get spotless images whatever the environment is!

Cool. No dusty lens. Perfect for me. Since I don't remember the last time I cleaned anything err..the lens on my old camera. Heh heh.

Imagine taking photos in the desert. Or at the beach where the sand could get into your lens. Even if you keep your camera in a case, over time the lens will get dusty, no? One year, two years, three years. Voila. Dusty lens. I imagine most people have this problem.

I do. Just did not bother to do anything about it. But with this Cyber-shot TX5, no worries! No dusty lens no matter what the environment or how dirty your room is or wherever you keep your camera.

Shock-proof
The shock-proof design of the Cyber-shot TX5 allows drops of up to a height of 1.5m, the usual height we hold the camera for photo-taking.

Great. Seriously? Cos this means that now I can afford to be myself a.k.a careless. I am the most clumsy, careless and absent minded person in my family. I dropped this phone (SE T707) so many times. Its predecessor was err ran over by a car. I was too careless. Left it on top of the car and forgot about it. T_T

I was soo tempted to buy myself a touch screen phone but alas. I don't dare. Not unless it allows me to drop it to a height of 1.5m too, like this TX5. Haha.

That's not all.

For low-light environments, the back-illuminated "Exmor R" CMOS sensor delivers stunning performance and increases sensitivity by 2x to reduce noise.

Which would mean that I can make this photo below look better. By the seaside at night. In a bikini no less. But no decent camera. Tragedy! I need the low light feature....to make me look good. Oh God, why am I so shameless!

Capture perfect twilight shots
With Handheld Twilight mode, your images boast 50% less noise because the high sensitivity “Exmor R” CMOS sensor coupled with BIONZ imaging processor allows the camera to superimpose six visual frames to create a single optimised image.

Even when taking a picture at a high ISO setting or without using a tripod, you still enjoy cleaner, sharper images with Handheld Twilight.

Effortless panoramic photos

Enjoy beautiful panoramic shots by sweeping your camera horizontally to create stunning landscape shots, or vertically to capture tall objects.

Intelligent Sweep Panorama also recognises faces or subject movement automatically and cleverly stitches the photos together to create a natural-looking panoramic shot.

It simply means that you no longer have to use the stitch feature on most cameras. Not sure what is that? Neither do I. Haha. I have never actually successfully stitched a photo together.

Oh well. With this TX5, this means I won't have to learn how to do it eh. Saves time learning heh heh.

Among other cool features are:

Clear and sharp images in low-light environment

Anti-motion Blur mode uses six superimposed frames to create one single optimised image with 50% less noise. This means you are able to shoot with high ISO settings in low-light environments, reducing noise and subject blur, giving you clear and sharp images.

Takes 10 photos in 1 second

Capture capture fast actions or a moving subject in a sequence of 10 continuous frames per second. This sequence of continuous shots are also grouped to simplify playback as the camera analyses each group in order to locate and display the best shot automatically.

Before I go, here are some close up photos of the camera.

The front of the camera in green.

Comes with a 10.2 megapixel CMOS sensor, 4x optical zoom plus optical image stabilization. It also features a 25mm wide angle mode and 720p HD movie capabilities. And its pretty. So sleek and stylish.

Wide 3-inch LCD touch screen at the back that allows you to dip it underwater down to three meters, and allows you to drop it at a height of 5 foot. Ehh it sounds almost too good to be true.

This photo is soo tempting. The camera is all wet. Such a rare sight. A wet camera.

I would be the envy of everyone.

I would be in heaven,
I would have an orgasm.

Hey that rhymes Haha Super WTF. Kidding kidding. Chill people.

Err back to topic.

Please give me one of this camera.. Pretty please. With icing and cherry on top.

Kinda busy

Argentina vs South Korea: 4:1. Well done Argentina.

In between waiting for Greece vs Nigeria, I have time for a quick update.

Unrelated but.

Streamyx is weird, I tell you. Yesterday we went to Telecom and canceled our internet line and switched to the Cool Uni Pack (under Winnie's name to get a free netbook!) If you want details, here you go: Streamyx Malaysia.

Streamyx has launched this new promotion known as Cool Uni Pack for students that provides broadband services at RM 50 per month (I think). Student price. You have to pay installation fees and maybe something else.

But of course what attracts most people is that they give you a free netbook! HP Mini 210!! Lucky Winnie. I wanna be a student!

We also get a free wifi modem.

Anyway. Why am I saying Streamyx is crazy? Cos we canceled our line yesterday (Wed). We still have internet connection last night. No problem.

So on Thursday, we called them to ask: hey you guys got cancel our line or not? When you come to bring us our modem and get us wired up?

They confirmed with us on Thursday and said that yes, they have definitely canceled our line. No internet.

But.

I BEG TO DIFFER!

I AM ONLINE.

Oh well. Let's see when I get cut off, and when they come to bring us a new netbook..

In the meantime, here are some photo updates of Cherrie!

When we first brought her back, her fur is very dark brown, almost black. Now, the color is slowly fading.

Her ears, particularly are a lighter shade of brown already. And the fur on her back is lightening as well, the more we bathe her.

I love this photo of Cherrie!

Super cute. ♥

Cherrie on my lap. In this photo, its quite obvious that her ears are quite light brown. We brought her to the vet today for a vaccination shot! She was so manja after her shot. Seriously, she whined when we came near her, or tried to pick her up. But now she is fine. ♥

In dad's arms, while he studies the World cup schedule. Heh.

OK. Its 10pm.

Bye~

Karate Kid

Starring Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan. Jaden is the son of movie stars Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith. Apparently his parents produced the movie, with someone else. Don't know the name and lazy to google.

The movie is about a single mother who moves to Beijing, China to work, bringing with her, her son: Dre. Or Xiao Dre in the movie. Xiao means little in mandarin btw.

In the beginning, Dre is bullied by this bunch of Chinese kids, led by Cheng. He gets beaten up badly. One day, while being beaten up, Jackie Chan comes to help him, and agrees to help him.

Jackie Chan (Mr Han in the movie), is the maintenance man in the apartment where Dre and his mum lives. Anyway, he helped stop the guys beating Dre up, and agrees to go with Dre to the kids' sifu (karate teacher) to ask them to stop beating Dre up.

The teacher (badass) disagrees. Very mean guy. The only way he would let them leave that day, was on the condition that Dre agrees to enter the Tournament!

This is the tournament. The kid in red with the Bruce Lee look-alike jumper is Cheng. Bruce Lee's outfit is normally yellow, right?

Dre is in a Wong Fei Hong look-alike outfit! Haha.

The plot is fairly typical with some light humor. Nice.

The ending is also typical. No need to provide spoilers.

Three guesses who won.

Who said this movie isn't nice? Nice lar. Go watch.

No hero to fall in love with.

But, so? Still nice what.

Kids kicking each other's butt. Nice.

Watch it!

Football Fever

On Saturday night, cs and I went to Spring, expecting to watch a movie: Karate Kid. Starring Jackie Chan and Jayden Smith. I was so surprised to see that there were virtually no traffic jam at Spring. On a typical Saturday night at about 730pm, Spring should be jam packed. There should be so much traffic that it would be impossible to get inside the car park.

But we sailed through. It could be like just a typical week night. We found a parking; easy peasy.

I did not expect World Cup to be of such a big influence. Apparently it was though. More on that later!

The movie we initially planned on watching was sold out for both the 830 and 930 and 1030 screenings. Chee bye! What happened to World Cup? When I mean sold out, I mean sold out. There were not even any two person seats left in the front row, or squeezed onto a corner whatever. Nada! Chee bye.

So we went to Lounge II to watch World Cup. Resigned. Argentina vs Nigeria. Walked into the pub just in time to see the first and only goal of the match.

On Friday night, we went to McGregor's pub for the opening match: South Africe vs Mexico. We were expecting a crowd so err we went quite early. Kiasu people.

Disclaimer: Stole all photos off McGregor's Facebook photos page. Credits to Doreen! Thanks babe.

The place was still empty when we arrived. Haha. They installed two or more televisions at the place. The place filled up pretty quickly and it was one of the most crowded nights I have ever seen there..

Very nice atmosphere though. The crowd not too rowdy, and half of the crowd supported South Africa, while the other half supported Mexico.

But one thing I hate about McGregor's is the smoke! The pub looks quite foggy and by the end of the night your hair, and every piece of clothing including bra and undies stink of the smoke.

McGregor's is very small. Good if you like intime pubs; bad cos if you go late, they are always full house. Not enough seats and tables.

I went to Lounge II last night. Much better to watch football there! A large projector screen plus 2 or more televisions. And ample space. Much more seats.

Spot me! For some reason, I look like a green giant turtle in the photos above. FML

Why ar? Cos I hunch issit? Freaking ugly! Grr...I have a few nicknames given to me by my family cos I hunch. One of them is: the Hunchback of Seng Goon Garden. Chee bye. -_-

Wait I show you my dress for the night. To make me feel better...

Bye~

P/S: Have you watched Prince of Persia? I am in love with Dastan! No surprise. :D

Oh, yes..
