Still alive

I know I haven't been updating. I have been in Bangkok the last 6 days..finally back home now..

Dorothy was right: there's no place like home.

Flight was delayed by 35 mins. Not bad..reached home around midnight. Damn tired now..

I'm on leave tomorrow so hopefully can upload the photos n hopefully update my blog.

Didnt take much photos..last I checked was only abt 900 photos. Hahah can't believe didnt reach 1000 yet.

Ok waiting for my hair to dry now so I can zzzz... Not enough zzzz the past week or so. nights!!

Btw, with regard to the photo, do u look like your passport photo? Hahah thought it was funny.

Dark dark night

Delayed post: wrote about this some time ago.

I'm sitting here in Titanium typing away on a computer in a dark dark room, surrounded by guys (mostly), shouting to each other. If you have not guessed yet, yes, I am in a cyber cafe with Cs and friends. They are all (I assume) playing Dota. Men. Heh.

I came simply because I had nothing to do at home anyway, and mainly out of curiosity. He did warn me though. It will be boring. 3 hours of sitting surfing doing whatever you want. Get ready what you want to do online.

So far I managed to check FB every few minutes (nobody is updating anything when you most want some drama to happen), check all mails and made sure I signed out of everyone of them, check all the favorite blogs, read Wikipedia just for fun (and out of boredom - did you know Nicole Kidman was born in Hawaii? so she has dual citizenships in U.S. and Aus ahahha trivia indeed), and read Wikitravel yet again on my upcoming Bangkok trip.

After 2 hours, I decided to fook it and blog about my experience here.

Its so dark that its hard to type. Did you know that? Plus guys do shout a lot while playing. Cs and group are relatively quieter - they just laugh and whoop occasionally. But mostly quiet.

The aircon isn kinda chilly in here - my fingers are getting numb - harder to type now. But I must persevere because I have nothing else to do!!

Is it ironic that I am surrounded by pubs yet I am sitting here typing. So kwai mi. So out of character.

Yessir - I have decided to turn over a new leaf - by that I mean just drinking less lah come on. At least not on weekdays. I will. I must. Besides I gotta save $$ for Bangkok. Heh heh.

Tried to understand the fascination with Dota and failed. Its a lot of err running around, fighting and killing each other. Men. Haha.

Earlier I asked Cs which would be more boring for me? Badminton or Dota. He said dota. Well I beg to differ now. Badminton is worse I think. At least I am semi-entertained now. At least I am not surrounded by sweaty men, I'm now surrounded by noisy men. Zzzz..

Don't think I'm coming again. Hahha the main reason I came was just out of curiosity. OK its 10:45pm. When are they finishing? Fingers crossed for 11pm. :)

Some updates of life these days

Some random photos about my life these days. This was at the fun fair at MJC. Pretty sure the fair is still there. The usual stuff: games stalls, food stalls and a stage for karaoke. Its right opposite to Cs' office so its noisy at night but entertaining lah. This was after work one night, we went across the road to walk walk see see.

I made bruschetta one fine day. I always loved bruschetta and will order them when we go to Bella Italia. So I decided to google the recipe and make my own. It was really easy!

I used four tomatoes. Slice an "X" on the top of the tomatoes before you blanch the tomatoes in boiling water. The skin will fall off and make your life easier. Then cut up the tomatoes, however big or small you like it. I mashed them up pretty much. 

Then, fry some garlic in olive oil and mix them up with the tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper. Then mix in basil if you have them. I didn't so used my mixed herbs - worked out fine.

I used a whole loaf of french bread for my 4 tomatoes. So cheap this recipe and tastes good. :) Happy me.

This was a date night at Spring. Went to watch the Amazing Spider Man. I like Andrew Garfield more than Tobey Maguire. Cute. I think I'm in love. Hahah typical me. 

Winnie was right, I fall in love with the characters. Watching Prince of Persia, I fell in love with Dastan, watching New Police Story and I fell in love with Joe Kwan. And so on and so forth.

There was a period of time when I was lusting over Daniel wu aka Joe Kwan in New Police Story and I had Cs change my name in his phone to Joe Kwan hahah. This was long long ago when we were still friends. He still takes out this story to use on me. Hmph. 

When the waiter brought over my muffin, I look at it bemused. Does it not look like someone took a bite out of it? Hahaha but we were starving so just ate it anyway.

One night when friends came over for a swim. Hahah kicked Cs' butt! Wife 1: Husband 0

One day when he came to look for me during lunch time. Wanted to go to Sushi King but forgot that they have the RM 2 bonanza going on. Friggin long queue so went to Full house instead. 

Pumpkin soup, dory fish and mashed potatoes. Both nice but a bit too salty I think. This set costs about RM 12.50 (me thinks). 

Watching the world go by with little princess. Dogs all love the outdoors. Sometimes I wonder what its like from down below. I feel like laying belly down on the floor too to see what its like from her perspective. Can see outside the gate kah? Hahah..

One night when Winnie and I were bored, we decided to make Jello with vodka. :X We made it this time! 1.5 cup of hot water and 1/2 cup of vodka makes the perfect dessert. Definitely much easier to eat this time.

Had maggi cup goreng in the office. Don't think I'll have it again - too much hassle to add hot water then wait 3 minutes and remove the hot water. Cut open all the packets at the sink and mix together. Why do that when I can have normal maggi mee, just add hot water. Why mi why? Oh yea cos Cs bought this and I stole it and brought to the office. :X

Still tastes good though.

Because its daddy's birthday July 13. I'll post photos another time. That is a post on its own because the world's best dad deserves a post! :)

Every year dad's office buys a cake for dad and its always the same words Happy Birthday Boss! Wonder if they dare to put dad's nickname here or not. Heheh maybe I should suggest to Kev.

Give me just one more night

I know I know why do I keep posting photos of drinks and/or myself drinking or at pubs. Sheet does this woman do anything else at night?

Yeaaa..I err eat dinner, spend time with the hubs, work on my blog (or attempt to), go for movies (Spiderman - I think I'm in love again), go out with Win (to drink- doesn't count), visit Cherrie and the fam (and mum asks me out to drink - doesn't count too). 

Gah. Its me. Accept me for who I am. 

Anyway! These are from Havana - buy one get one free on Tuesday nights. Quick quick mark it down in your calendar!! These are good cocktails - taste good and got kick some more. Two of these and I feel my face heating up. Two of these plus 3 Strongbows later, I start a fight with the hubs. :X I KID!! Or am I? Hahha

Just realized I don't have a photo of the bride. 

So there you go. Photo from back in 2006. So young both of us. Don't think we changed much. Use your imagination Shirley. She looks more or less the same. Skin smoother and fairer I think, body size more or less the same. 

This was at Sharing Planet. I love that place. But its always fully booked. We went at 6:15pm on Sunday night and we thought phew still got empty tables. Who knows most of them were reserved! We ended up at the staff table. True- I asked the waiter: is this the staff table? He said yes. Btw the place opens at 6pm.

This is ice cream with chicken chop. Looks good, tastes good albeit a bit weird. But I still love that place. Affordable and always good value. No wonder always full house.

This was one rare day when mum and Win came to look for me for lunch. At Carvery no less. Think this is the one and only time they came to look for me for lunch in all the 4 years (?) I have been there. Jeez. You guys have to visit more often! 

So that's why that deserves a photo.

OK. Update more next time. Its almost 12 and I need my beauty sleep. More like I need my sleep or I'm gonna spend the next day like a zombie yet again! Hey hey before you think too far, I do work ok. Despite all the drinking. /guilty face.

More drinking..

I can't believe Kitty is still in these photos. She went back to Nottingham last week or was it last last week. Well damn. I got to update more during the week.

I tried. But my week days have been quite tiring these days too. No complaints there. But my health. Gotta get more sleep. Mum just said my eye bags are scary. =.= Bad news.

Anyway. Moving on. This was at Space err..the past few weekends. Music was good as usual and very crowded. Beer bucket costs RM 55 for 5 bottles. Think we had too much quite a lot to drink that night. :X

Kitty, me, Winnie and Cyn. I forgot a lot of the details already by now.

Everyone was very happy that night..if I remember correctly, the night ended with the group of us at lok lok and me conversing in Cantonese to this guy I just met (one of Benz's friends) like best buds. What?! 

We went to Senso (at Hilton) for free drinks on Thurday night. Free cocktails from 9 to 11. Service sucks the last time we went though. They took ages to refill our drinks and the drinks damn light some more. Blue lagoon. Not nice.

I know its free. Yes, but surely establishments offer free drinks to "pull" ladies/customers into the pubs right? So why are you pissed that we are having free drinks? Jeez man. Like we owe you money like that. Come let's boo sama dia again. No thanks Senso, we can afford to pay but at that service, no thanks. 

Back to Space that night. Ying, Crystal, me and Vero. Note the photo quality. Obviously this photo is taken with my phone. 

Oh yeah looking back at these photos, we had champagne that night too. Yes please! :) It was finished very quickly - can you blame us? Hahah but seriously one glass each and it was gone. 

By the time I arrived at the pub after a wedding dinner, it was already about 1030pm. On the table were some beer bottles and a bottle of black label. As the night wore on, more beer buckets came (about 10?- I don't remember) and a bottle of Swing and this bottle of champagne.

So yea. When they opened the lights, I don't remember already. I mean, it makes no difference if the lights were on to me then. Same same and we went to lok lok some more. Hahah where I conversed in Cantonese lol. Lihai.

As you can tell, I have some very fond memories of that night. One of the best nights out in a looong time. Best part was no hangover the next day. Must be cos I ate during the dinner and then tapau-ed nuggets at Mcd. That's why. 

Very important to eat before drinking. Your body will thank you the next day. During my wedding, everyone was trying to force my dad to drink one go. He didn't even eat much. But luckily he had a Colonel burger (from KFC) before the dinner that's why he didn't get drunk during the dinner. Same lah daddy- by the end of the night, he didn't remember most things already.

Most people don't know this but we continued partying in the hall till past midnight, drinking and dancing. About 50 of us. It was awesome! :D 

I don't like my hair now. So alang alang. Not short enough, not long enough. Neither here nor there. Capish? Had to give a few explanations. Heh.

Fatty is sooo cute. And so clean. And so furry. And so bad. And so spoilt. But cute mostly.

We are all biased when we come to our pets, no?
