No to Amy Winehouse

Know this person?

She's always caught on possession of some drug. Her beehive hairstyle was used to hide drugs. I can't deny that I do like some of her songs. But, I refuse to buy her albums. What for, to sponsor her drug abuse?!

Because my name is also Amy. And Amy Winehouse is always in the tabloids in London, everyone knows her. Most of the time when people see me and realize I'm called Amy, they'll be like: ohh..Amy Winehouse!! Damn. I hate it!!! I hate her.

The press make her out to be some crazy person. She shows up late for her concerts or no shows, and she has these ugly tattoos over her anorexic body and she abuses alcohol and drugs. And she has a husband in prison right?

Sorry I sound like a bitch. But she's always getting arrested over possession of some drug or other but she's never been in prison except to visit her husband. She's been in and out of rehab. She even sang a song on rehab. Damn.

Say NO to drugs. Say yes to alcohol. =p

I like her song rehab. Heh heh.

Sanj said she's been to Fleet Street McD a couple of times and he's served her before. He seems serious. Could be true though.

Sanj's the one who keeps calling me Amy Winehouse.

No way. Nothing alike! This is me:

A Chinese story

I just finished watching a Chinese series called chuo ai e shen. Sorry, don't know pinyin. In English it means to love wrongly the whole life. or love the wrong person for the whole life. something like that. Its going to sound confusing. Bear with me.

This movie is about two women who give birth at the same time in a country town in China. One of the woman, from Shanghai died giving birth to her daughter. The other woman also gave birth to a daughter. Since this was in a country town, the poor woman's husband was the one who received the babies. No doctors available.

The Shanghai woman is from a rich family and when her family came to collect the baby, the poor country woman gave her own child over to the rich family in hopes that her baby will have a better life.

She regretted her own actions and tried to switch the baby back but was unsuccessful of course.

By a weird twist of fate, the poor woman's husband who received the babies could tell them apart. His own child has a birth mark on the stomach while the shanghai baby didn't.

10 years later when he saw his child bathing, he noticed she had no birth mark on her stomach. He knew that the babies had been switched. So, being the greedy man he is, he went to Shanghai to try and tell the family to get money from them.

Ironically, no one is home except his own daughter. She knew he was telling the truth since she really had a birth mark on her stomach and at 10 yrs old tried to kill her own father to stop him telling everyone the truth. Why? Cos she enjoyed her life now, being pampered and being a little princess. She doesn't want to go back to the country side.

The police came. Believed her story. years went by. He eluded capture and went for cosmetic surgery to change his appearance. Ironically, the cosmetic doctor is in love with the shanghai daughter. who is staying in shanghai then too.

there's too many things to talk about. how am i going to finish this story? damn.

i will remember this story. i learnt the lesson this story is trying to portray and no. i'm too lazy to share it here. sorry.

no one is reading my blog anyway...

Good.

It seems everyone is reading Dr Mahathir Mohamad's blog today: www.chedet.com

He's talking about political issues, about Malaysia's government.

I'm nowhere near as brave as him so, go read his blog yourself to find out..

He's only written two posts so far but already reached 1000+ comments.

Welcome to the blogging world!

Speak your mind.

Cindy won MDG

I can't believe i found out from Timothy Tiah's blog that Cindy won MDG. Damn. Spoiler! Until today, the videos are not out in full yet. Damn.

I was rooting for Hanis. Can't believe Cindy won. i'm not going to post her photos here, there's enough in almost every other blog and her own blog.

So yea, guess i'll put my own up. =)

Not ego man. Far from it. I have the lowest self esteem i know. that photo was taken with lien on the tube.

After dinner at a Thai restaurant where peter was working, somewhere in north london.. Finally, an empty carriage and we started taking photos.

Stranger in the mirror

I love Disney cartoons. Always have and always will. I'll be showing disney cartoons to my children and grandchildren forever. Heheh. I especially like all the old Disney cartoons, not new ones. I faithfully download every Disney cartoon when I was in London and buy them when I'm back in Kuching.

Right now I'm watching Mulan. Something stands out: it takes only a grain of rice of tip a scale. One man may be the difference between victory and defeat. Some chinese proverbs makes sense and it just makes me wish I've been to chinese school.

who is the girl i see staring at me?
why is my reflection someone i don't know
somehow i cannot hide
who i am
though i've tried
when will my reflection show
who i am inside
when will my reflection show
who i am inside..
