Torture

After a night out of drinking, bar hopping, dancing on stage, getting our pictures taking (like a star #thick skinned), here I sit..unable to concentrate. From DB to Xplus to Zebra to Paragon. Why do pub names sound so...?

The words and figures just blur on screen. Tried my best and called it a day. Saturdays are not meant for work anyway.

The ringing in my ear has not gone away yet. Everything and everyone seems to be moving too fast. I burp out air and feel slightly nauseous. My head feels like its about 10000 kg, and everything is spinning around.

What the hell am I doing here? Why the hell have I deteriorated this much? For God sakes, I'm embarrassing myself. Is this one of the signs of ageing? Cos its NOT FUNNY!!

Something is trying to make its way out of my throat, despite my constant swallowing.

My body is aching, particularly my legs and feet. That's what you get dancing in 3 inch heels.

Its okay. I can still type. This is not world class hangover yet.

I had a good time though, I got what I wanted, which is to drink and dance the night away. With a bunch of black guys on stage, I might add. They do their shuffle moves thingymajig and we do our shaking of the hips.

Some guy for some reason gave me a sunflower (who knows where he got it!) I took it and struck a pose for some reason. Winnie took the flower and plucked off its head for some reason and put it in my bag. 

I don't know...sometimes things don't make much sense. Just go with it if it feels right.

P/S: I would like to state that I exaggerated the effects a little. My ears have stopped ringing and I no longer feel nauseous. #trying to regain dignity lol.

1. GREED: What is your most inexpensive beauty item?

Probably my lip balm.



I have mentioned this before, I am a lip balm freak. I CANNOT have dry, chapped lips. Major turn off. If I see people with chapped lips, I unconsciously keep licking my own lips and I feel like looking away, or else I keep staring. I can't help it. Sometimes I point it out to them. :X Sorry!
What is your most expensive?

Errmm..probably my Mary Kay products. The moisturizers, day and night cream.

I have all of these and a few others.

 But I also always try out different expensive creams/serums. One of the more pricey ones costs about RM 280 for a bottle of serum. Freaking pricey but I thought it was good. But I'm not using it now..too pricey to continue using it. Haih I can't help splurging on beauty items. Women's face, what to do?

I'm a sucker for the fancy marketing words, or if they are endorsed/recommended by people I like/follow. Such as the facial slimming gel Xiaxue recommended (but it friggin works!!), and the V shape face serum etc. I also buy a lot of facial masks and go for facials once a month. =.= Kill me now, only writing it out do I realize I spend quite a lot on this eh.

2. WRATH: What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with? What product has been the hardest to get?

Hmmm...love/hate relationship would be the products that are good but expensive! Or the products that are good but make my face oily. I have an oily face and some serums are good, makes my skin smoother (can feel the difference afterwards), but then its oily. Oh and sunscreen. I KNOW I have to use it everyday but it makes my skin oily. Haih.

Product that are hardest to get? The ones that are not available in Kuching lor. But its okay, small leetle Kuching is expanding these days. We finally have SASA in Kuching. I buy my NYX makeup stuff online, and erm what else? That's all I can think of now.

3. GLUTTONY: What are your most delicious beauty products?



I recently fell in love with Maybelline's lip balm. I'm using the third one. It smells amazing!! And quite moisturising too. Can't wait to try out the rest.

I also love shower creams. I'm using Dove now - smells amazing too. I always get to choose which ones I want. Hahah cs has no say in this! 

4. SLOTH: What beauty product do you neglect, due to laziness?

I sometimes neglect to put on sunscreen and eye gel. And sleeping masks. :( There was a period of time when I was so hardworking - I put on the sleeping masks almost every night and my skin thanked me for it. But now..boo..I should get back that habit!

I'm using the one from Face Shop. Its good. Costs about RM 90+ ?



5. PRIDE: What beauty product gives you the most self confidence?

The whole made up effect lah. One product cannot eh. I can't use just concealer, or foundation without eyeshadow, eyeliner etc. Can't use eyeliner without foundation too what. Cos my skin is not that awesome. So yea, everything!

6. LUST: What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?

Ooohh..toned arms, legs, cute smile, sense of humour, tall, dark, handsome, nice ass, nice abs...wait did you ask for one? I can't make up my mind.. :)

7. ENVY: What items would you most like to receive as a gift?

Hmm..perfumes (cos they are pricey and I can't bring myself to buy them). Actually they cost almost as much as my own creams and stuff but those stuff I use everyday. Perfume on the other hand seems to be like luxury items for me.

I'm using Jadore. Smells really good. I never get sick of this and Charlize Theron is hot hot hot!

Change of topic. Its Friday! Tonight I'm going drinking with Winnie. Yeah yea, big surprise. Woman has a test till 8pm and is picking me up to go drinking straight after. Talk about alcoholics. Hahah she said and I quote, "...I have to, I NEED to.."

So I was flipping through my photo albums when I happened to see this. Some photos that I don't remember I had of Taiwan..taken from Jerrick's cam. Doesn't help that Air Asia is having cheap flights now. Cs told me that AA flights to Taiwan in Mar 2013 costs RM 700+ per person, return. Temptations!

But no lah, we didn't but any tickets this time around. But, looking at these photos are making me miss Taiwan, and their food. But, I cannot spend anymore. But, I wanna go. But but but!

I loved the weather then in Jan. Not too cold or hot. It is so so hot in Kuching these days - I would welcome winter even. Bring on cold, dark gloomy days. Snow in Kuching! Anything beats this heat wave we're having now.

Five minutes after a cold shower, I am sweating again in an air con room. Too damn hot. But it could also be because I just finished running on the treadmill. And waited for the sweat to stop then went to shower. So when I came out, I still felt hot! Makes sense?

Among the flowers. We were walking around this huge open park (?) and it felt nice cos it was cold. Chilly. No hot sun. No sweating. No need to bring an umbrella or worry about sun screen. Actually still need sun screen lah but you know what I mean. No need to worry about getting dark, which in case you didn't know is my biggest fear, after rats and lizards.

 In Kuching, I never walk anywhere during day time, except maybe from my office to Mcd. Or from the car to the car park, to open the gate. Or from the mall to the carpark (if its not in the basement). I'm sorry I don't know why I'm like this too.

How about at the beach then?!! Good question! I bring out a towel (cos umbrellas look too ridiculous), walk in the shade, pull Cs into the shade, or pout until he agrees to go out ONLY when the sun has gone down! HAHA no lah!! Joke joke!

Forgot to mention, all this walking out in the sun (at the beach) is only AFTER liberal amounts of sunblock all over any exposed skin. Arms, legs, face, neck. What what? Skin cancer is scary you know? Hahah

Xi Men Ding!! Ahh I miss this place! Super crowded at night. But I think that was partly cos it was during CNY holidays. On normal days, it should be less crowded. But still crowded lah cos its Ximending. I'm rambling. Ignore me.

I am so staying at Rainbow Hotel again next time I go back. I cannot rave enough about the awesome location. Hotel was not bad. Quite awesome for the price we paid. No complains. Clean room, good service and awesome location.

Going to Shida night market..

Made this photo extra large because awesome food pics should be drooled at. Come, let's drool together! After raving about this beef steak noodles aka "niu pai" to Cs for so many years, finally he tried it for himself. And he agreed that it is every bit as delicious as I made it sound. :)) V for victory!

It is called niu pai in mandarin. I'm sorry I can't write chinese and don't know pinyin, but it means beef steak. They also have chicken and other types of pasta. This plate costs NT 150 or RM 15. So worth it.

Accessories galore..bad for me.

Later, we went to Jingmei night market. I have never been there before this. Its quite small, and I have no idea how to go again. Just followed Cs' bro and dad.

So nice going on vacations with them. Cs' dad and bro are both in charge of all transportation, i.e. which train to take, which bus and which direction to go.

Cs and I just blindly follow. Cs, cos he's the youngest in his family, and cos he has not been to Taiwan before (his family have all been before - Cs stayed back to accompany me during CNY! :)); and me, the non-Chinese reader am no help with directions even though I have been to Taiwan many times before.

Plastic bags full of food hahah.

But I didn't gain any weight at all during my Taiwan trip. Non stop eating but all the walking helped offset it. Good news indeed. Eat nonstop and managed to lose weight = always a good thing!

This was one of the best "ping" I had ever. Sorry how to say "ping"? Its like roti canai with egg, with some green/spring onions on it, and some sauce. But it tastes omfg good!!

We bought one and had one bite each. Then fought each other for the rest of the ping. Jerrick came over and we offerred him a bite but Jerrick finished it. Hahaha no lah. I want one now! Hungry!

Brought all the food back to eat in the hotel. This was our last night, if I'm not mistaken. Bitter sweet feeling. We finished all the food and went back out to finish all the leftover Taiwan dollars we had before finally calling it a night.

The good thing about staying right at the heart of Ximending is that there is always things to shop, see and eat. Staying there meant that we didn't have to take a train ride to any other places when we're tired. Plenty of things to see/explore around the area.

But then, maybe I'm easily satisfied. If I remember correctly, on the last night, we walked into one of the 7-11 in the area and bought some local beer to try and alot of snacks to eat on the plane the next day.

Ok yeah, writing this post does make me want to go back dammit. This is bad. I really need to learn to save.

It is one of those days

My eyes are glazing over. The screen seems to be shrinking the longer I look at it. Though I increased the font size, it seems just as small as ever.

You know those days when you go around scolding/cursing everything and everyone in your path?

It is one of those days today.

From those two laughing idiots on the escalators to that ahpek, whom I swear is creeping around me. Stare away. Retards! Everyone is a retard! Woe to those people who actually opened their mouth to talk to me today. Swear to God they leave within 10 seconds or less.

Winnie asked me does she look bitchy the other day. No, I said. But today, one look at me, bitchy is written all over me.

Unfortunately, I know exactly why this is the case. I feel like apologizing to all those people I talked to today. Or rather the people who talked to me, but to whom I bitched back at. Don’t think I actually answered back nicely. Example:

Him: Wow..nice dress. Polka dots. Like a Dalmatian.

Me: You’re saying I’m a dog la? Bitch issit?

Him: (backs away) No..no..

He literally ran off.

If I’m not so angry at the world, I might actually find it funny. Its like I have a disease, the way people back away from me today.

He came back after that and I consented to talk properly like a human being this time.

I know lah. Wtf is wrong with me..I should shut up now. Might as well not infect anyone else.

Well damn do I really go to Damai that often?! But I have a valid reason every time. This Saturday is in conjunction with Cs' birthday celebration!

I'm pretty sure there are still more Damai posts in my blog, just that I'm lazy to look for them now.
