Life's like this

So..I've been getting huge (or so I think) but apparently not as huge as I should dammit. Went for a scan and baby girl is 2 weeks behind her estimated weight. Hmph. Made me worried only and repeatedly asked doctor: what can I do? Eat more? Eat what? Do what?? I already eat, sleep, and repeat everyday! 

But he assured me its not my food intake. She's getting her nutrition all right. It might just be genetics. Baby must take after Cs' side of the family cos my family side ain't small. We are all big sized and big bones. I kid you not. Everyone is tall. Females are all 170 cm and above besides me, Win and Arldalyn lol. Males are probably all 180 cm and above la. And mostly big sized. 

I even told Dr. Nic: but I'm fat wor when I came out. I was 4kg!! Yeah.. He smiled and assured me its probably genetics but he wants me to go back every 2 weeks for a check up now to make sure she's growing well.

In the meantime, I tell myself: eating more can't hurt right?

Oh nothing. Just some light snacks. Not my proper meals la. Unhealthy I know. I eat my proper meals too. Cs brought these home for me after work. Heheh he knows his pregnant wife well. A selection in case I want ice cream, cake or coke. I already have chocolates in the fridge. That my stupid brother keeps eating I might add!!!! 

I buy kit kats, he finishes them. I scold him and he buys them for me again. Then he eats them again. I scold him again. He buys them again. =.= Stealing food from a pregnant lady = bad move.

I still have a slice of cheese cake at home. Mmmm looking forward. :)

This was taken ermm..2 weeks back? I'm now 31 weeks pregnant actually. 9 more weeks to go. Eeeek. Where has the time gone???

The other day my colleague asked me: have you gotten everything ready?

Me: ya...almost. Just have to get myself ready now.

Yeah, I'm not kidding. My feelings I mean. 

Tell u a secret ah, I have to do no.2 when I'm scared/nervous/butterflies in my tummy. On the morning of my graduation, I had to keep running to the toilet. I'm damn scared I have to keep doing no.2 when I'm in labour. FML really. Its already really common to poop while in labour, do I need to intensify it with my anticipation? Stupid.

Change topic. Been waking up earlier to go for breakfast before work these days. I'm proud of myself and of Cs. As soon as I mention I'm hungry in bed, he leaps up and hurriedly gets ready so we can have breakfast before work. :)

Incidentally, Cs is trying to bring me out for lunch more these days so I can have more food choices. His mum is so nice. When he told her that baby girl is slim, she went: I give you money..u must bring Amy out more for lunch. Bring her to eat more good food.

Okay! Hahahha...why am I so lucky? I also don't know. Lucked out with awesome mom in law. I know la, its for baby girl but since I'm doing the eating, well good for me too. :)

This is just fatty being her usual manja self. She lay there refusing to get up cos she wants more belly rubs. I already sayang her for a good 5 minutes (I think). Then I said ok enough. Get up. And I walked away. But she lay there looking at me acting cute. So I went searching for my phone and took this photo and she still won't move. Too cute.

This is Winnie's efforts at crochet-ing. For future reference, I shall just say knitting. Its easier. She's into DIY stuff these days. Starting with knitting. She's onto her second scarf now btw. That's her first. 

On Fri or was it Saturday night, mom and dad were all dressed up going out for dinner and they brought a bottle of Macallan. Mom to Win: wanna go drinking?

Win (knitting): no.

Me (pregnant): yes.

Haih our parents are more happening than us. This was about 2 or 3 nights in a row ok. And they just came back from holiday. Jealous max.

I gotta stop shopping for baby stuff. No I'm serious. I took out all her stuff to wash the other day. Man that's a lot of clothes already. Good thing is we probably don't need to buy her new stuff till she's 1 year old lol. In between mom, me and gifts from other people, she has enough clothes to last for a whole year. Serious. Lucky we all had the foresight to buy clothes in newborn, 3-6 months, 6-9 months and even 9 to 12 months. So yeah plenty of clothes.

New house in progress. Progress is slow! Can't wait for it to be done. Can't wait to finally renovate the place and move in.

From the new place

Hello. So I have finished moving house already. 

I'm typing from the new place already. The past week has been tiring and exhausting. Cs and I went back on Friday night for a final goodbye. Took photos, brought over our remaining stuff, and tried not to cry (me).

The bittersweet feeling passed quite quickly. Well, not really. I just try not to dwell on it. Besides, we had no time to dwell. We were sort of thrown into it. Meh. Oh well. I didn't even go to the pool one last time. Oh well. Not that missing it.

But its so damn messy. We stripped the house almost bare in the end. Cs was being too nice to the new owners. He was picking up rubbish here and there, throwing out things, whereas I try to make it look as bad as I can. =.= Women.

He even wanted to wash the toilets before we left, but I was like:

 

 NO! NO WAY!! I'm putting my foot down. Hahah women again. I sound damn ngiau ci. (Stingy)

 

 

 These days, we are just busy unpacking and getting used to our new "phase" of life now.

Its a Sunday afternoon. On days like these, we just laze around at home. I have Pacific Rim on as background noise now, and we just finished watching Grown Ups 2 just now. Well, I did. He fell asleep halfway. 

Last night I went over to Rita's place to party. Hahaa "party" is used very loosely here. Basically we all brought food. I made potato salad; Winnie made pasta salad; mum brought midori and some soda; Janet and Angela brought fried noodles, fried chicken ass, glizzards; Rita made kachangma (this I don't know how to describe or translate to English - its mostly taken by women after giving birth during the confinement period); and Mag made pork ribs. Definitely the highlight of last night.

After eating, we started drinking. Had tequila (its been a while for most of us), Midori, Kahlua (so sweet though, and lastly beer.

 

 

Last night. My skin is not that awesome. That was the result of S4's "beauty face" feature. Kah Ling was trying it out (she's using S3 btw and was trying to test the difference), and immediately she went wow! Haha it makes your skin looks awesome immediately. Cheat one.

Speaking of this, I recently tried this new cream. It is SO GOOD that I stopped using my other skin care products, and am thinking of converting everything (toner, sun screen, foundation, powder, everything) if I can. Only thing is it is so pricey. Haih typical isn't it?

 

 This little tub costs RM 300+ I don't remember the exact amount. But yeah. Splurge. Both my parents used this, and they said it was awesome.

My mum tries a lot of skin care products so I trust her. If she says its awesome, its awesome. So I did my research online, and finished up my existing night cream, then went over to Spring and got myself one as well.

I have only been using it for 2 weeks? But I could tell the difference after week one. My skin felt smoother, and fairer. That was the case for me la. It might not work for you. :) Sharing is caring eh?

Rabbit Food

My Monday Night

5pm: Finished work and headed over to Merdeka Plaza for Mcd. I was craving nuggets cos of my dream last night. In my dream, I went to Mcd with RM 5 in my pocket and ordered nuggets. The nuggets came to RM5.20 so I was down 20 cents. I looked at the girl next to me and asked for 20 cents and said I'll pay her back.

I had to run home to get 20 cents to pay her back at Mcd. All that for some Mc Nuggets. I didn't even get to eat them yet and I woke up. Hahha. Alarm rang. Boo. 

Coincidentally Cs dreamed of food too last night and this morning we were exchanging food dreams. Heheh.

Anyway. Yeah that's why we went to Merdeka Plaza and then walk around and ended up at Everrise to buy the week's groceries. For some reason, we always end up buying groceries on Monday night. Hmm..

Came back home and I decided that we should go visit the pool. 

It's been ages since we had a night swim. 

It rained earlier this afternoon but the water was perfect. Not too cold and not much people around. There were a group of people sitting there staring at people swimming. Weird. Fully clothed sitting beside the pool watching, and not talking. Turned out they were waiting for their friends to arrive. So they can all stare together. Hahaha.

We stayed for about an hour. 7 pm to 8 pm. 

I feel like having a BBQ here some day again soon.

OK moving on. 

We went back home to shower. Cs washed his towel so I told him to wait in the toilet while I go fetch him his towel.

But I forgot about him. =.=

I went to dry myself, put on toner, moisturizer, smoothed lotion on my arms and legs, put on clothes, and started blow drying my hair.

Half way through, I realized someone was shouting something at me. Hmm.. what could it be? Then it hit me: OH SHIT!! I left him standing dripping wet in the toilet waiting for his towel. HAHAH. Stupid.

We had a good laugh over that one.

Came downstairs and started making tomorrow's lunch. Nothing much really. I just cut up a cucumber, leftover celery sticks, and a carrot.

Washed them all and stack them neatly in the fridge. I made enough for 2 days. Would probably have to force feed Cs to finish this though. :) Haha he likes the carrots, but the celery and cucumber, I have to force him.

Added an egg for protein and to fill my tummy up more. This is my lunch tomorrow btw. Nobody can say I don't eat enough vegetables. Hahahha.

I made a dip to go with it. "Made" doesn't seem to cut it though. All I did was buy a packet of McCormick's  french onion dip and a tub of plain fat free yogurt. 

Mix them both together. Not all of the french onion dip please, just a little. Taste as you go. 

Before you scoff at me or sneer, I actually like this ok.

I love having them with raw vegetables or with chips. I don't have them with nachos la but I serve them during CNY for other people. Make other people fat. Hahah kidding please. 

Besides not everyone is a freak like me. Not everyone likes my rabbit food. :)

Life these days

I just finished Mark of Athena. Noo..what am I going to do with my free time now? Haha. Dammit though. I wanna know what happens next! Grr. this is why I don't read books like these until I have ALL the books/collection/trilogy etc everything! 

Moving on. I was browsing Trip Advisor the other day and I came across this. This guy described my experience in Shibuya perfectly. I am fat, old and not not trendy! Hahaha. Touche.

He was describing a mall in Osaka: Hep 5. That was EXACTLY how I felt in Shibuya 109. Hard not to feel self conscious. Its a good thing the Japanese are so nice, humble and polite. 

No filter sunset shot from Damai Central. It was Cs' birthday yesterday. I spent the past week and weekend rushing around serving his Highness. Finally its over. Haha.

We have this thing going on between us. The days/weeks leading up to the other person's birthday, that person gets to be King/Queen. Everything that person wants, or says, or does is correct. The other person is basically the slave. So yeah. 

Thank the Gods its over. Hahah. :)

He got to choose what to eat, where to go, what movie to watch, and I have to clean the house, cook his meals and supper, and be his maid. Come August, he will be in deep trouble. I'm gonna milk it for all its worth. Heheh. I'm going to start from August 1. Announce that my birthday is starting!

These 2 girls were quite good singers. They will be at Escobar every weekend and they sing both English and Chinse songs. I heard them sing Gangnam style as well ala Jayseelee.

Had this for lunch one fine day. In fact I hardly go out for lunch anymore. 

Once in about 2 weeks, Cs might come look for me. If I ask him to. But now that we wake up together, shower together, have our morning coffee together, go home together, eat dinner together, shower together again, and go to sleep together, it doesn't makes much sense for him to still come look for me for lunch. We need space from each other. 

Hahha I had to write out all the "together" stuff to show how much time we spend together with each other.

This was his birthday dinner at Sakae Sushi. I miss you. 

Sudden random thought: would I hate sushi when I'm pregnant in the future? Hmm. Hope not. Wait. Would I be able to eat raw food? Damn.

This is another of my lunch: bruschetta. Its not as good as Bella Italia's. I should go back there and order it again to see what's different. Heheh. But this is only the second time I made it. I gotta search for more recipes online.

Escobar last week. I look too white. Its the photo app. Makes us look a bit weird actually. Mehh. But I love his camera. Look at the photo quality. So sharp! So defined! So unlike my Apple. 

Cherrie looking cheap, as usual. Fatty turned 3 last week. Nawww..can't believe the little princess has been in our lives for 3 years. I gotta do a photo log of her soon. Heheh. 

If you're wondering why these photos have a square envelope in them, its cos S4 has this function where you can take photos with both the front and back camera at the same time. Damn awesome as I have already shown like the one at the beach. Nice right?

One ladies night umm..last month? Or last two months ago? Again its over edited. Hahah me and my apps. Stupid woman.

This one is better. Not as freakishly white. Freakish white reminds me of Nico di Angelo. Son of Hades. Can't blame me. The other day at the mall, I saw a guy on crutches and wearing a cap, and the first thing (stupid) that popped into my mind was: Grover!! (Satyr).

Percy Jackson fans will understand me. I finished 8 book in a week. (Mark of Athena has about 580 pages btw) Minus working and sleeping hours. That's a whole lot of reading! :) I even brought the book into the kitchen while I cooked. I was obsessed. Borderline. Ok fine. Very obsessed.

Kevin's birthday is on May 9, and mother's day is on the second week of May, so they almost always share the same cake. Whichever comes first. 

This year, for Kevin's birthday he chose Carvery. Mehh. Its a meat buffet for carnivores. I'm not a fan of too much meat, so yeahh I'm not the right person to judge. Its good lah but not that outstanding. Service could use a huge improvement though. 

My mum is special. For her mother's day, she and her friends decided to celebrate together in the pub. Planet. Our second home. They each cooked something each and brought it to the pub and started drinking there till late. 

Since mum and her friends are there so often, the bosses and staff there know us so well. He (that guy is one of the boss) bought that cake for them, and a bouquet of flowers for them each. So thoughtful eh? :)

I joined them after dinner. I was with Cs' family at Chef at Home this year for their mother's day. Suffice to say, it was a busy night. :)

Winnie had the bright idea of requesting Mama by Spice Girls that night. We sang that song for mum that night. Afterwards, I felt like we should have sang that song a long time ago. We don't say I love you much to our parents. We weren't brought up that way despite how open you think our family is. 

 I think there are not many mothers and daughters who go out together so often, drinking and laughing and joking together. So we got quite a few cheers and claps that night. 

Moving on. Kitty and I when she was back for a week.

This was at Junk Bar. She was only back for a week so we barely got a chance to talk at all this time. Next time babe. We drink together again! :)

One night Winnie suggested we go to Platform. They have free Tequila shots for the first 20 girls who come in. So we kiasu of course. Winnie walked in the door and immediately went tequila?? Hahhah no lah! Kidding.

Don't know why that night we got quite a lot of free drinks though. Don't think I paid anything besides my first glass of beer. Always a good thing. :)

Crystal and I. I'm liking her more and more. Heheh. Platform I think. Don't really remember now.

The reason why I forgot is cos Winnie has the awesome camera phone so she is the one taking photos most of the time. So we others have to wait till she uploads the photos or sends to us (probably 2 months later). Yeah. iphone 4 camera sucks big time.

Winnie said Steph saw that at Grand Margherita during some bridal fair thingy. Last time I was on the ship, time passed by so fast and I don't remember the scenery. Nothing much eh but then again I was born and bred in Kuching. Maybe foreigners would like it?

I just regard the whole thing as an ego boost. That girl is still 3 kg away from me btw. Darn it.

Life these days..

This is super apt for us. Hehehe and everyone else who drinks. 

Hahahah damn smart lah. I do that sometimes. When someone says something bitchy and I'm quiet, more often than not I'm thinking of something equally insulting. But then again, more often than not, I let it go. I forget my anger very fast. And I would console myself with: why stoop to their level? Mehh.

 But for the very retarded comments, I do reply back lah. The ones that get my blood boiling. Can't let them get away with it. 

This photo below was from Janet's birthday. We were supposed to go to Planet to celebrate but mum twisted her ankle during dinner (on Janet's birthday). So plan cancelled and we ended up at Rita's house to drink and eat. Everyone was very understanding and Rita spent the night treating mum's ankle.

Poor mommy. So near CNY some more. She hobbles around with a cane. When it didn't hurt, I actually think mum was enjoying herself (somewhat) being the invalid. She just sits there while we fetch things for her,  and do things for her. 

But mum says it hurts now..so yeahh.. Plus its getting nearer and nearer to CNY, so mum can't wear heels or her new shoes, or go visiting, or cook. Kinda sux.

I went over and cooked dinner for the family one night. First time ever! Made spaghetti and it was finished! Success! The reason why I don't cook at home is cos my parents are both really good cooks. I'm afraid they will criticize or worse, that it doesn't meet their standards.

Even Eli was laughing (sort of) while I was cooking. Bitch. I say bitch fondly here.

These were from ladies night at the Knights opposite the Hills. Just the four of us: Winnie, me, Vero and Crystal. They have ladies night on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Just pay RM 10 and get 4 small glasses of cocktails. We all had vodka orange. Its not very strong, but still good. Don't order vodka mango - tastes weird.

After 3 rounds (or was it 2?) of free drinks (damn cheapskate please), we left and went to Travillion. Started at Zebra but it was so boring. So we ended up at Rush.

Crystal (far right) wins the "most popular" of the night. Hahah you know when a bunch of girl friends go out together, there will be one of the most popular. The one who guys hit on and buy drinks etc. Crystal was the winner that day.

Her guy friends bought us drinks after that. Seriously F guys life. Have to buy drinks for the girl you know and her girl friends. Thanks btw. When girls go out together, we all conspire to get free drinks only. Sorry pub owners, but its true.

The other day, Winnie and I were talking and we said hey we should open a pub! All our friends would come. We know all the alcoholic people. Our whole family (minus Kev) drinks, our mum's friends would come, dad's friends come too, our own friends all drink too.

And proceeded to burst out laughing stupidly together. This is why we are sisters. If we open a pub, we might not earn money too cos we would drink way too much ourselves. Heheh.

Oh btw I got new specs! Do I look like a school teacher or do I look like a school teacher?

I posted it on Facebook and most comments were: you look like your mum. Winnie responded with a hahahhah :P Bitch. Cos last night I told her that she was so hou lian on FB and Instagram. So serious with no hahah or cute emoticons. Like I always do. 

So her response to everything I posted now is: hahahha :P Cunt. She is back to being hou lian now. Annoying.

I finally saw this photo at waterfront! Its us! Our wedding photo! Hollywood apparently sold//licensed or I don't know what to who so yeah I don't know what I'm talking about. Point is, our photo is an advertisement for river cruise. Cos that photo was taken on the cruise ship. 

Ahh well I don't really care. It just means that we look good. Right? Right?
